We’re excited to share some key takeaways from our recent interview with HotNews.ro, where Cristian Marius Sporis Head of Corporate Banking, Vice President at Raiffeisen Bank Romania and Diana DUMITRESCU, PhD. CEO at InnovX , this interview took place with the support of Livia Fericean, Corporate Communication & Public Affairs Lead at Raiffeisen Bank Romania, discussed the MoonShotX Program and its impact on mid-sized Romanian companies.

In this interview, they provided valuable insights into how MoonShotX, a collaboration between Raiffeisen Bank Romania and InnovX, is paving the way for regional leadership and global expansion for companies in Romania.

Key Points from the Interview:

MoonShotX Program: This innovative partnership targets mid-sized Romanian companies with revenues between €5-50 million that are ready to expand beyond borders. Combining InnovX’s expertise as a top accelerator in Eastern Europe with Raiffeisen’s extensive corporate network, MoonShotX offers companies the chance to scale globally.
Program Structure: The program kicks off with a Bootcamp in Bucharest from October 7-11, where participants will dive into critical areas such as technology, scaling, M&A, financing, sustainability, and internationalization. Following this, companies will receive personalized mentorship and access to major events.
Global Expansion: In 2025, participants will have the opportunity to attend scaling events in multiple countries, including Croatia, the UK, Austria, and the US, helping them strengthen their global presence.
Economic Impact: The interview also highlighted how MoonShotX will help Romanian businesses grow their competitiveness, stimulate innovation, and contribute to regional economic growth through job creation and cutting-edge business strategies.

We’re thrilled to announce that Anca Luca has joined InnovX as our new Chief Growth Officer! We are thrilled to share that Jonathan Puerta from the EU-LAC Foundation / Fundación EU-LAC has highlighted InnovX’s involvement in the upcoming GOFEST 2024, organized by the Cámara de Comercio de Bogotá. This prominent event is one of the key startup gatherings in the region!

As part of the EU-LAC Innovation Cooperation initiative, Jonathan will be participating in the panel titled "Incubation and acceleration experiences in Europe and Latam". This panel will be a unique opportunity to exchange experiences, learn from industry leaders, and explore the trends shaping the future of entrepreneurship from other speakers such as Anca Luca, Stephan Kreutzer, Balen Pastor, Marco Quirino , Kristin Eckert.

🎤 Anca joined forces with fellow ecosystem enablers Stephan Kreutzer (Technopolis Group), Kristin Eckert (Start2 Group), Belén Pástor (IMPAQTO) and Marco Quirino (ENRICH in LAC) to explore the opportunities and challenges faced by startups in both ecosystems.Key-insights shared by Anca:1️⃣ Empowering Startups for Global Success: Anca discussed how InnovX is committed to helping startups expand globally. Through our accelerator programs, we provide entrepreneurs with the mentorship, resources, and strategic support they need to succeed internationally. 🚀 InnovX: A Key Player in the ECYBRIDGE Initiative! 🚀

We are excited to highlight our pivotal role in the ECYBRIDGE project: “Strengthening Synergies in Defence and Civilian Cybersecurity” (ECYBRIDGE-DIGITAL-ECCC-2023-DEPLOY-CYBER-04). This innovative initiative, led by Constanta Maritime University and supported by a €2.5 million grant from the European Commission , aims to revolutionize cybersecurity across Europe by bridging the gap between civilian and defence sectors.

Our collective goal is to create a unified framework that integrates cybersecurity capabilities from both civilian and military sectors. By fostering synergy, enhancing mutual understanding, and developing innovative strategies, we aim to bolster Europe’s resilience against emerging cyber threats.

InnovX’s Role: At InnovX, we are eager to contribute our expertise in empowering companies and advancing innovation in cybersecurity and DeepTech. This project aligns perfectly with our mission to strengthen critical infrastructures across the energy, digital, and transportation sectors, with a particular focus on the Black Sea Region and beyond. 🌟 Waymo Launches Paid Robotaxi Service in Los Angeles 🌟

Waymo, tech startup and a spinoff of Google, is set to roll out its paid robotaxi service in Los Angeles starting Wednesday, marking a key development in autonomous vehicle technology.

Highlights:

Service Details: The service will start with fewer than 50 cars covering a 63-square-mile area, from Santa Monica to downtown L.A.
User Access: More than 50,000 people are on the waitlist. Rides will be booked via a smartphone app, with remote assistance available.
Background: This follows Waymo’s free "tour" rides and recent regulatory approvals. The company already operates robotaxi services in San Francisco and Phoenix.

The autonomous vehicle sector is gaining momentum, with Tesla and GM’s Cruise also advancing their self-driving technologies. Waymo’s expansion into Los Angeles underscores the growing presence of autonomous taxis in major cities.
