Kinderpedia Shines at Podim Conference, Wins "Talk the Walk" Award
The final of the Podim Conference Pitch competition was an exhilarating journey filled with passion, innovative ideas, and untapped potential. Kinderpedia had the invaluable opportunity to showcase its platform to an expert jury and a large audience of entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals.
Kinderpedia was honored to receive the prestigious “Talk the Walk” award from Infobip. Special thanks to Lucija Reic for recognizing the synergy with Kinderpedia and appreciating their product and pitch. 🏆
The conference provided several one-on-one meetings that opened exciting paths for collaboration. Valuable insights were gained from Francois Mazoudier's presentation on managing the fundraising process, leading into the Fundraising Bootcamp program. More importantly, the event allowed the team to connect with fantastic like-minded individuals, share experiences, and grow together. 🌟
A new tradition was also started at PODIM with morning runs, bringing energy and enthusiasm to each day. 🏃♀️🏃♂️ Kinderpedia's team celebrated the inspiring pitches from Mark Duerkop , Přemysl Koudela and Ilya Novodvorskiy and congratulated Stjepan Steve Zelić on winning the Pitch Competition and his upcoming US expansion. Kinderpedia's co-founders, Daniel Rogoz, Evelina Necula and Valentin Ilea , along with their dedicated team, were commended for their passion and hard work. Their efforts continue to garner global recognition for innovation and social impact. 🌍💡
Romanian Startups Shine at Ambassador's Reception in Iceland
On the 14th of May, a select group of 12 innovative startups from Romania attended a special reception hosted by the Ambassador of Norway in Iceland.
Among these leading startups, these companies are making significant strides in their respective fields: QuickLegal , Autosymed SRL , Quarks Interactive , VOXivers - AI-Powered Speech Therapy & Education , ProcessLab and many others.
The reception provided a unique opportunity for these companies to engage with key stakeholders and gain international exposure. ZIM Connections' Debut at Viva Technology: A Thrilling Experience
ZIM Connections is delighted to share their experience attending Vivatech for the first time! Alongside Pablo, their Partnership Development expert, they divided and conquered, engaging with new and existing B2B partners, having amazing conversations with potential investors, and gathering invaluable feedback from ZIM travelers.
This debut at Viva Technology in Paris marks just the beginning for ZIM Connections! Their participation in the event was an intense and exhilarating 48 hours, during which they scheduled over 15 meetings, walked more than 30,000 steps, and spoke with over 100 people.

UNIDO Regional Conference: "Connecting for Development – Innovating for Impact" 🌍💡
🚀 Excited to share that the UNIDO Regional Conference: "Connecting for Development – Innovating for Impact" will be taking place in Vienna, Austria, from June 3-7, 2024! 🌍💡 Organized by the UNIDO Regional Bureau for Europe and Central Asia, this event aims to foster innovation, sustainability, and climate action through networking and partnerships among European businesses and UNIDO-supported start-ups worldwide. Key participants will include both UNIDO Member States such as Bulgaria, Croatia, and Romania, as well as non-Member States like Estonia, Greece, and Latvia.
One of the key highlights of the event is the Cleantech Days 2024, spearheaded by the UNIDO Global Cleantech Innovation Programme (GCIP) with support from the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the Green Climate Fund (GCF). Building on the success of the inaugural Cleantech Days in 2023, this year’s forum will focus on scaling up clean technology start-ups and SMEs from 16 countries. It’s a prime opportunity for entrepreneurs to showcase their impactful solutions and connect with businesses, financiers, and investors. The event will kick off on June 3-4 with thematic discussions and partnership-building activities, followed by dedicated sessions for UNIDO-supported start-ups from June 5-7. These sessions will include solution presentations, pitching, and extensive networking opportunities. 🌟 Panel Discussion 3: Public-Private Development Partnerships on the 4th of June 🌟 One of the key sessions to look forward to is the panel discussion on effective public-private partnerships for global development and the 2030 Agenda. Insights from ROCA X CEO on Innovation and Technology
"Innovation will drive the evolution of strategic fields like education and healthcare through at least 2027, with #ArtificialIntelligence emerging as a key technology in their development, according to the World Economic Forum.
Technology was the key focus during the pandemic and the initial CONFIDEX debates, launched at that time, highlighted the key sectors that businesses and institutions were relying on for economic recovery. 'eHealth, edutech, and remote work: these are the three areas where technology adoption and usage have surged exponentially. Technology is a sector poised for accelerated development and high resilience to crises,' remarked ' Alexandru Bogdan , CEO of ROCA X , during the CONFIDEX debate in May 2020.
These are the fields we continue to invest in today and closely monitor through the #CONFIDEX study with each new edition."
