This key initiative of the ECYBRIDGE Project aimed to improve our approach to enhancing E.U. cybersecurity civilian-defense synergy by discussing and learning from the ongoing War in Ukraine.

InnovX is proud to announce its active participation in the first ECYBRIDGE Tabletop Exercise held on October 22-23, 2024, organized by The Romanian National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC). This ground breaking event addressed real-world cybersecurity threats and explored strategic synergies between civilian and defence sectors.

The InnovX team, represented by Diana DUMITRESCU, PhD. (CEO), Anca Luca (CGO) and Daniel Dumitrescu, PhD. (CIO), took part in a simulation designed to tackle evolving cybersecurity challenges impacting both civilian and defense infrastructures.

The exercise commenced with an engaging panel discussion moderated by Valeria Popescu, the DNSC Team Coordinator, featuring distinguished experts Dan Cimpean , Director of the Romanian National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC), Prof. Gabriel Raicu , Rector of Constanta Maritime University, Amb. Shota Gvineria, Faculty Member at the Baltic Defence College, Col. Prof. Ion Bica , Dean of the Faculty of Information Systems and Cyber Security at the Military Technical Academy "Ferdinand I" and BG (ret) Stelian Cristea, Deputy Director of the The Romanian National Cyber Security Directorate. This high-level panel emphasized the critical importance of cybersecurity for the EU, its member states, and citizens, particularly in today’s rapidly digitalizing landscape.

Key moments of the exercise included collaboration with cybersecurity experts from across Europe to address potential cyber attack scenarios on critical infrastructure and to develop strategies for safeguarding both administrative and logistical networks.

This exercise reflects the ECYBRIDGE consortium's ongoing commitment to strengthening Europe’s cybersecurity capabilities, particularly at the intersection of civilian and defense sectors. InnovX, together with Raiffeisen Bank Romania, are proud to announce the successful conclusion of the MoonShotX Bootcamp, held from October 7-11, 2024, at Raiffeisen Bank's Sky Tower headquarters. During the Elevate event held on October 16-17, 2024, Pavlos Loizou (Co-founder & CEO of Ask Wire)addressed the challenges facing the real estate industry regarding its slow adoption of technology. Despite notable advancements in PropTech, including real-time data analytics and automated valuation models (AVMs), the industry's infrastructure remains outdated.

On October 29-30, Termoline Oradea welcomed 30 researchers from nine countries for the AEGIR project meeting, a European research initiative funded by Horizon Europe. The project, led in part by Horia Ban, head of Geoexchange and Termoline director, aims to create a sustainable framework encouraging deep energy-efficient retrofitting of buildings.

Key objectives include developing modular, plug-and-play solutions to improve energy use with minimal disruption and a digital ecosystem to streamline data management and project monitoring. According to an article by start-up.ro, Dexory, a British startup co-founded by a team of Romanians, has recently secured $80 million in Series B funding to further develop its innovative product, DexoryView. Over the past three years, the company has raised a total of $120 million, significantly improving efficiency in warehouse inventory processes through automation. Boston Dynamics and TRI: Advancing AI Robotics 🤖

Boston Dynamics and the Toyota Research Institute (TRI) have partnered to integrate AI-based intelligence into the electric Atlas humanoid robot, leveraging TRI's advancements in large behavior models (LBMs), similar to large language models like ChatGPT.

Gill Pratt, TRI head, shared that their robots can achieve 90% accuracy in tasks like flipping pancakes through efficient overnight training. This marks a shift in machine learning, where only dozens of training cases are now needed.

Boston Dynamics brings essential hardware expertise, while TRI has shifted focus away from hardware. CEO Robert Playter expressed excitement about creating general-purpose humanoids to tackle real-world challenges.

The collaboration is significant, especially as both companies are linked to Hyundai and Toyota, rivals in the automotive industry. The goal is to develop robots capable of performing tasks like humans, but achieving true artificial general intelligence remains a complex challenge.
